Osram High Pressure Discharge Lamps Premiered At The World Expo In Shanghai

OSRAM has presented the new HTI 1500W/60/P50 Lok-it! system high-pressure discharge lamp for entertainment lighting at the opening event and in other applications (more than 40 buildings) at Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
The HTI 1500W has a new burner and higher temperature resistance, hence the lamp produces constant light throughout its entire operating life.
The new HTI 1500W lamp is suitable for use in effects lighting or in “moving heads”. These flexible multifunctional headlamps for theatre or events technology enable light to be pointed in virtually any direction. eXtreme-Seal technology (XS technology) improves thermal capacity, so cooling can be reduced and the corresponding luminaires run quieter. The new metal halide lamps have a colour temperature of 6,000K, a colour rendering index of >90 and luminous flux of 135,000lm.
Fitting Lok-it! lamps is safe with its bayonet system of lamp base and socket. The lamps can be replaced using just one hand. It has a mechanical locking device; the socket cannot be twisted too tight.
Lok-it! lamps are available with either the compact PGJX28 or the larger PGJX50 base.
